Elisabeth Ukanah, works at the heart of government, serving as a Senior Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Marketing specialist with the Department for Work and Pensions, the Cabinet Office, the Home Office and more recently the Ministry of Housing. Formerly, she was a journalist at the BBC. Elisabeth spent ten years as a radio, online and television producer working for the World Service, BBC World News, the News Channel, BBC On Demand and on the BBC’s flagship current affairs programme HardTalk. Earlier in her career, she spent two years working for the Guardian newspaper with their social media team. The department won two consecutive Webby online awards. Before that, she worked with one of the most recognised voices in British broadcasting, CNN’s presenter Richard Quest on ‘Quest for Wealth and Quest for Spirituality’. Elisabeth also reported at Radio Wimbledon, interviewing top tennis players including Rodger Federer, Lyndsey Davenport and Kim Clijsters.
